Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promotion is open to UK residents only, aged 18 years or over, excluding employees of Valor, Linney Group, participating retailers and their employees, their immediate families, agents and anyone else professionally connected with this promotion.
  2. The promotion only applies to the purchase of Valor electric or gas fires.
  3. Fire surrounds and installations, and Wonderfire are excluded.
  4. The promotion runs from Wednesday, 14 October 2009 at 9.00am and finishes on Tuesday, 22 December 2009 at midnight (inclusive).
  5. The closing date for receipt of winning cards is 31 December 2009 at midnight.
  6. To enter purchase any Valor electric or gas fire and receive a free scratch card at point of sale. If by scratching the reverse of the card it reveals that you are a prizewinner, then the original card must be delivered to the Promoter’s address immediately.
  7. No responsibility is accepted for any entry which due to postal error or any other reason is not delivered to the Promoter or arrives after the 31 December 2009 at midnight.
  8. The decision of the Promoter in all matters is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, terminate or temporarily suspend this promotion in the event of supply technical or any other difficulties, or for any other reason, with no liability to any entrants, the prizewinners or any third party.
  10. There are prizes totaling £10,000 to be won. First prize comprises £2,500 in value of John Lewis Home Furnishing vouchers (terms and conditions apply). Proof of purchase of promotional product necessary. Second prize comprising 10 money back cheques up to the value of £500 to be redeemed against the invoice for the Valor gas or electric fire purchased. Proof of purchase necessary. Third prize comprising 200 money back cheques up to the value of £20 to be redeemed against the invoice for the Valor gas or electric fire purchased. Proof of purchase necessary. Cheques will be made out to the name of the successful prize winner.
  11. The John Lewis vouchers are subject to the John Lewis Terms and Conditions which can be accessed at www.johnlewis.com and www.valor.co.uk.
  12. The John Lewis vouchers will be provided and delivered by recorded delivery. Provided the winner gives details of their home address to the Promoter by telephone, the vouchers will be delivered to the winner’s home address within 28 days by recorded delivery.
  13. The prizes are as stated, are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative in whole or in part.
  14. The winner agrees that the winner’s name and county will be made available by the Promoter. The names and counties of the winners can be found at www.valor.co.uk. Or send an SAE to the Promoter.
  15. The winner also agrees to take part in any related promotional activity if so required.
  16. The Promoter reserves the right to withdraw or amend this promotion in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control.
  17. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any incorrect or inaccurate submission of personal details.
  18. The Promoter reserves the right to award alternative prizes of equal or greater value should the advertised prizes become unavailable for any reason.
  19. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for communications line failure, regardless of cause with regard to any equipment, systems, network lines, satellite servers or providers utilising any aspect of this draw.
  20. Entry instructions are deemed to form part of the terms and conditions and by entry to the promotion participants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.
  21. Prize draw terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
